While driving, all kinds of faulty codes came up to include ABS and Transmission Gear. I turned off the car and restarted........it disappeared. It happens a few times until this last time Friday. The car won't start. Can someone tell me what's happening here?

Thanks you.....I looked for the battery in the trunk, under the rear passenger seat, and the engine bay. Where the heck is the battery on 2004 545i? lol

Haha

Open the trunk and remove the side panel on the right side. That is where the battery is. Since the car is a 2004, the battery is probably nearing it's end. Your not going to get much more life out of the battery...maybe a few weeks...I would just replace it now.

wow...so the battery is inside that huge panel on the right trunk? Thanks so much, I'll check that out tomorrow. Should I go ahead and have the alternator change to? What do you think?

there's no reason to change the alternator if just the battery is bad.

I had a similar problem not too long ago. The dealer replaced the alternator. Bad alternator will not charge the battery properly hence will cause all these fault codes.
Have your alternator checked. GL.
