Alignment required after a lower control arm replacement?

OP, do the alignment - you'll save the money on the tires, trust me

The rubber bush could have just gone soft, which seems to be the most common problem with the bushes, but the road wheel still be in the correct position when static, hence alignment not required, if the bush is completey shot and or was when the last alignment was done then alignment will be required. Make any better sense ?

OP- To insure the best for your vehicle I would HIGHLY suggest a wheel alignment and wheel balance. Make sure your fuel tank is at full during both.

Thanks everyone.

Iwent ahead with the alignment. The car has 90k and I learned that it wasn't aligned when the dealer replaced my other lower control arm 20k ago. This time around I used the BMCW mechanic site to find an alternative to the dealer and confirmed with e60.net members that it had a good reputation.
