My Ride: 2004 BMW 530i Manual
Default

I have a 2004 BMW 530i with the original factory alarm. The car alarm randomly goes off while the car is parked. I've notice the issue three weeks ago, while the car was parked in my garage.

When I park and activate the alarm (via the key)you hear and see the doors lock, but no audible beep. When I unlock the car, the doors open and the car makes the normal two audible beeps.

Usually after I lock the car via remote and wait 10-15 minutes the alarm goes off.

Any idea whats going on?

Check all the doors and boot / bonnet are closed, look at the red clown nose under the rear view mirror when locking does it flash?

If not could be an door switch is not registering
