I have a BMW 530d E60 - 2004.

My car dont have alarm, and the central mirror dont have the red light in the middle of mirror. Last month i by a new central mirror with the red light and also 3 bootons (1,2,3). I dont understant what I can do with this 3bootons. My question is : At this moment i dont have alarm in my car and i have the central mirror with the red light. Have i the possibility to swith on this light when i close the car without have alarm. If yes , why

Welcome to the forums. While I'm not sure whatother parts are needed in retrofitting, the 3 buttons are for the Homelink transmitter. Homelink allows you the ability to have the car learn up to 3 remote transmitters (garage door openers, security gates, etc). I don't know if the homelink system is contained within the mirrow, or are external parts needd (such as antenna, code learnin module, etc).
