I have just installed new M5 mirrors and the cars looks great with them, but after installation I get a warning message saying that driver and passenger airbags are failure.

I have looked into the wirings and connectors and everything?s seems just like I should. The connectors to the airbags in the doors are connected as they should. I have pulled of the negative cable from the battery and connected it again without any positive result.

Has anyone any idea what to do? :'(

This happens to almost everyone who open up the side airbag. Bring it to dealer for clearing the code.

A E60 works by programming true the CAN elec. routing.

If you do not know it, do not mess with it.

CIP 60 or just dumb?

Thanks for your fast response...I?m glad that it seems to be an easy problem to solve.

Dont' bring it in too often because the report indicates that the airbag is somehow disconnected from the control module. If this happens consistently, dealer might open up a PUMA case and you don't want them to prove it's your fault.
