Airbag reset

The airbag light on for one week.My friend said it need to reset the airbag and best choice is BMW professional reset tool namedReset Inspection and Oil Service.I want to know if there is a way I ture off the light without a tool?Please adivse.

No it will not reset inspection, oil or airbag on an E60, E90, E65 etc etc. These cars are OBD but they will not reset with this tool. These cars are different. For airbag reset you will have to buy an OBD cable and use INPA to get it off. Even so that price is WAY too high

I did this last week and worked like a charm. Just got my OBD cable off eBay.

Which cable/vendor did you use exactly? I've read about really cheap ODB cables that don't work after a while.
