My Ride: 2005 545i
hello all last night my idrive flashed a passenger safety restraints or airbag message Are airbags or the belts covered under bmws cpo warranty ???

It's probably not your airbag. There is something called a "mat sensor" (or something like that) located in the seat. The sensor detects when a passenger is sitting in the seat or not, and when it breaks, the passenger airbag is turned off, and a fault is thrown. Not sure if it's covered or not...

Same thing just happened to me. Good thing I did a search. I have a 545i. Will be calling the dealer in the morning. I am out of warranty. Hope they fix it free.
