Scrollonig forum i have noticed the RPI scoops installed for many users, but when i took a closer look to my cars grill i didn`t see true it for radiator, so i found out that there`s a "thing" what BMW calls Air Flap Control (detail nr.3)
Any thoughts?

Unless I am mistaken, the RPI scoop would mount on part #26 in the diagram shown. On either side of that part there look to be air inlets for the intake system. Good luck

Same case as mine before...
You should remove the "Air Flap Control(detail nr.3)" first then install the RPI scoops.

The thing is, i don`t want to install RPI Scoop, just wondering about this detail. I`ll keep this thing on, to protect my radiator

It is supposedly there to assist the engine in reaching operating temperature quicker. I believe this is mostly installed on diesel E60's in colder climates, although there seems to be no definite logic to how and on what models these were installed, as many owners reported having them on all types of engines and in markets all around the world.

One thing that wouldn't hurt for sure is doing a search about it

As said earlier they to aid engine warmup and are fitted on non sport models. M-Sport cars don't have the flaps.

As we all know, M-sport pack is only exterior and interior visibility and nothing is done with engine. So what`s the point?!
