Default Air Conditioning Turns On Automatically - Do I need to Program It?

Hi Guys,

I have noticed that my air conditioning just turns on whenever it feels like it and I don't have it set to auto mode. I am driving along and suddenly I feel cool air, I look at the controls and the A/C is on; BMW A/C is killer BTW. I don't have this issue for heating.

Also, when I start the car, the air conditioner or heat is always on depending on which one I used last, even if I turn it off before shutting off the ignition. I have tried everything to tackle this issue without any luck.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

That is how the system works. Only coding can change that.

Good to know, thanks baveagle. Now I need to find someone in MD, VA or DC that does coding!

If you are going to put that much effort into this and find a reliable coder, go and check the extensive coding list and I am sure you will find many more areas you might like coded at the same time.
I did my own coding and enjoyed the challenge, but it is not for everyone. And than again, it might be something to get into.
