Aftermarket navigation

Hi, new BMW owner and new to the forum.

i have a 2006 530xi without navigation. Is there an aftermarket system out there that will replace the original indash screen and still allow me to use all of the other functions?

Why would you want to do that? https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/5series...f402970ef9.gif Navigation with plug in units or even your cell phone is so much better than the built-in units.

The resolution on the factory screen is outdated and I'd like to upgrade the stereo system a bit.

i believe there are a couple. AVIN and Dynavin.

as for maintaining functionality of other pieces i do not know. i had to go with a CIC upgrade on my vehicle as i have a bunch of rare options and none of the 3rd party options would interface with it. HUD, vented seats, and Night vision.

i would do a search for the models i linked above and see what others are saying for the e60 and integration.

G~
