Has anyone installed an aftermarket digital media receiver w/BT in an E60? If so can you post a picture with Model info? Since my '04 545i didn't come with BlueTooth or Aux input, I wanted to see if I could remove the OEM CD player and install an aftermarket unit. Similar to the "Alpine iDA-X305S"

not sure if there are any units that can integrate with the idrive system.......Thoughts?

New car to me few week ago came with this Kenwood DNX7200 unit fitted. It has a bluetooth module fitted as well as ipod connection and full control via a usb/ipod lead . The I-drive audio controls are disabled of course but don't care about that. I have HiFi audio set up with the small amp in the boot and this weekend am having the under seat subs hooked up to the unit as I discovered that they were not connected. Also I gather the unit comes with steering wheel control module as mine are disabled as well at the minute.

I think the unit is about 3 years old but also has sat nav / dvd / rear camera.

Hope that helps.

I think the problem with the 04 545 is that its fiber optic... you can do an aux input but it has to be retrofitted by the dealer with programming.
