Probarbly I'll be the only one here that, my wife doesn't enjoy driving my car too much... She's pretty loyal to Mercs.... :'(

And you're still married to her?

That was my wife's comment when driving her Ford Explorer after having driven my 545 for 3 days while I had her Explorer on an out-of-town trip with the kids.? I have to say, I agree with her.? Ain't it great to drive a BMW!

And realize this Ford Explorer is not an inexpensive car. It is the Limited edition which costs $40,000. Giving her my 545 while I go for an M5 is an angle I hadn't thought of. With two kids, though, I think we really need an SUV.

it is definitely good to drive some other car for a while then you will appriciate E60 so much. What is also a great feeling is to drive E60 after two weeks of summer vacations. Feels like heaven and such a great car

MB SL500 is the one and only MB where I must admit it drives nice and looks nice. But still, going to twisty roads and SL driving qualities is way behind BMW's.....
It was only the engine power that made you feel so good.

I do not think you need to step all the way up the the M5 to best the SL500. I would take my 545 over the SL 500. I am not talking about off the line speed (I do not know what the SL 500 does, but over all driving experience.

I have to agree, there was alot difference in the power. But i look at the benz stats and it says that the difference between a 530 and sl500 in hp is only 50hp.Is 50 hp that much diff?? I thought the SL 500 was about 350 at least.I cant wait for my 507hp m5

Haha you would feel great driving a Mazda 3 after driving the Explorer. What is so surprising?
