hey guys,
i just ordered the oem aerokit for a great price (thanks Geneatals!) I never really payed attention to how the rear bumper is painted from the factory. but looking online at some pics, it appears that its one color (rear bumper + diffuser).

my car is the dark blue (forgot the name). what do you guys think i should do?

1.) paint the entire bumper with one solid color
2.) paint bumper to match the body but paint diffuser black

oh btw, my kidneys are matte black. and i have dark tint.

let me know guys, i'm going to get it installed in about 2 weeks!

Is your car black or sapphire black? I'm also considering this within the next month or so. Does anybody have any pics with the bumper painted that way on a black car?

Don't do flat black on the diffuser, looks cheap. Lexus is doing that now and some newer 5ers have it, too. Just paint it all jet black! I did, and I am damn glad.

It's personal preference obviously. I think the two toned color is cool for a number of colors for the contrast factor. However, from a certain distance, it may look like the bumper is missing a chunk on certain colors (or I need to put my glasses back on).

Perhaps what you can do is paint it body color, and have it wrapped. That way, you can keep the wrap if you like the look, if not, just take it off. Presto. I have solve the dilemma.
