My Ride: 2007 Sapphire Black Metallic 525i. Beige Dakota Leather, Premium package, bluetooth, BMW Assist, Xenon adaptive lights, Sirius radio
Thumbs up

Looking at an 07 525i (which I understand has a 3 litre engine?) Car has 35000 miles. Has 2 years left on the bumper to bumper and then the CPO.
It is Black metallic, beige interior, has satellite radio, premium package, and xenons. The car is listed at the dealer for 30,999. SInce I am a prior customer the will do it for 29, 500 ...this is out the dooe with tax, title, and documentation fees.
Input?

why go from a 525i to another 525i? For that price, you could possibly get into a 545i...

But CPO'd for that price? 2007 525i: KBB is showing retail at 29,325, NADA is 28,925, edmund's is 29, 253.
These are for non cpo'd cars

It seems like a solid deal. I would say its on the lower end of a market-rate deal, but I bet you could get the same price for one with a bit less miles depending on the market in your area. Did they quote you any special interest rates? I just got 2.9 for 48 months.

Thats true, but you have to remember that CPO means lease return. Thus, because its a basic package and common color, they probably own the car for somewhere between 23k and 25k depending on how much the first owner paid. So at that price, they are making between 3k and 4k, plus dealer prep. If your OK with that, I'm OK with that.

According to my reading CPO car sales for BMW for Jan and Feb 09 were up 24 % compared to last year. The demand is high.

I haven't read anything about it, but your probably right. They were selling cars like crazy when I was there.

No way I would go for this... 2 more years or 15,000 miles left? Really what good is that. Plus your talking about a 525i here... There's no way this sounds like a good deal by any means... There is other members on here selling their cars still under warranty. They just don't transfer over the maintenance (CPO) but it's crap anyways, and a waste of money. They give you 1 oil change every 15k miles when if you care about your car you should be getting it done every 7.5-10k miles at most.

They will give you tires if they become warn down I think? Wiper blades, coolant? Brakes?

I don't know I never even used it. By the time I needed anything I was already over the 50k miles.
