hi,
i use the scrol item near the headlights switch to get my headlights (halogen) light as far as possible, it still seems that the light is not shining far enough.
i have recently changed the bulbs into new better ones, but low beam still light too short from the car. is it possible i pushed down the headlight itself lower than its default level?

tyre presure is standard

The only thing achieved this way is to have your lights into the eyes of the oncoming drivers. Adjust it to the factory setting and get brighter bulbs.

i have got the brightest available (street legal - new philips +80%), but the beam is surpisingly low - i suspect i might have pushed it somehow down. do not know how this leveling works.
it is really hard to change even the halogen bulbs - only kids hand could reach the bulb ....

Here's a rule of thumb you can use when adjusting the height

Measure the distance from the ground to the center of your headlight. Go out 20 feet (6 m) and put a line at the exact height that would be one foot (30 cm) lower than the center position of your headlight. Adjust your lights until they hit that line.

It is very unlikely you have moved the adjustment.

They can check it for you at next dealer visit, but they told me mine was spot on, despite thinking the same as you, the beams always look a little on the low side.

The only way you could have altered the beam is if you hadn't seated the new bulbs exactly.

If they are firm in thier positions with no free movement, they will be fine.
