Okay I did a search and could find no diagram of this system. Went to the dealer and was told I need to replace the Front suspension, and then was told the part alone is $1500 and not covered under my extended warranty. Now if I replace my shocks I am assuming that is not part of this system they wanted to replace. Is it something I can buy and have an able mechanic install?

It appears from your pic that you have sport pkg. If so, you already have active suspension. It is known as ARS or active roll stabilization.

Sean,

1) Find out the exact part # you need and ask Garry @ Newport BMW for a quote.
2) Contact James Clark, he is a BMW mechanic who do work on the side for extra income. His contact is: (732)310-8799[cell] ARCHANGELNJ25@COMCAST.NET[e-mail]
James has done routine maintenance on my car and a few NJ members have him installed M-tech kits. He is totally legit. GL.

Thanks I'll shoot him an email. They were pretty vague when I talked to the Service Tech.

Currently she has 74K on the clock and has been great other than a vacuum pump failure, and the nav dying.

WOW, Dude... still fighting the Bavarian, I see. How come warranty doesn't cover it?!

I sure hope this gets worked out ASAP, Sean - wishing you good luck

PS I know you're dealing with a load of crap, so I'll only mention this once: coilovers (may be a good opportunity to get them now)

Thx Vlad. They are saying my warranty does not cover a power suspension which is what they consider it.
You are evil, and I was thinking about that......
