Active Steering warning light
Hi,
My Active Steering warning light has been on for a while now and was wondering if there was a quick way to verify that I really need to replace the steering column (which the dealer wants to do). I recall reading somewhere that there was a fuse that could be blown? I also recently changed my batteries but that didn't help.
Thanks!

Read the code somwhere, I doubt you would need to replace the steering column. Steering column is usually associated with servotronic issues. It could be the active steering module or steering angle sensor. Hard without knowing what the specific code is.

I had a "Active steering malfunction" error . It usually occurs during the transition to the fall / winter season.
I solved the problem by topping off the power steering fluid reservoir. I overfilled by about 2 mm.
