Have anyone else experienced a problem with steering wheel alignment?
My steering wheel started to get offset to the left of neutral ( appr. 3 deg ) for no reason. It was not a problem with wheel alignment. They checked thatto be OK!
Took it to the dealer and they changed some " neutral position sensor " and loaded some new software. This was tree weeks ago and now I think it?s starting going off alignment again.
Heard some rumor that the active steering equiped cars are sensitive to being parked on sloping ground??

Interesting to hear.
Did it develop by time or did it just appear one day?
I think I?m getting paranoid with my car, but it has started to develop an offset to the right again.

I don?t think it has anything to do with the rims.
I had the problem with the OEM wheels, which I used for winter driving. Exactly the same when I changed to the 19" with summer tires. I also had the wheels alignment ( toe in etc. ) checked.

Hard to say, but I can't remember having this problem from day one. Another theory is that the active steering is to sensitive, our roads in Sweden lean to the right, this for rainwater/snow to flow of the road which means that we could be compensating this with the steering wheel, or?!

Reine:
I think you have the same problem as I had / have?
My dealer confirmed that the " neutral position memory sensor blablabla " was faulty and had to be reset.
Everything was perfect for 4000km and now it?s starting to go offset again. No hitting of cerbs or things like that.
I?ve been testing and thinking of that possibility as you said - bad roads leaning to one or the other side all the time. But if you really concentrate and analyze how the car/ steering wheel behaves - there is only one conclusion - the steering wheel is not centered.
Would be interesting if you could confirm if you have the same problem as I had.
