I been having this problem right after a stability control malfunction, after restating engine i felt very loose steering 1/4 1" from left and to right of steering wheel is not responsive. It feels if my Active Steering is not working properly... a test that i conducted before this issue i was able to make a U turn in a narrow street with no problem... ever since this malfunction i can not complete a U turn in a single turn of the steering wheel

After taking car to dealer for malfunction no fault was found, the fix was temporary.

My girl friend drives a 335 coupe and when i drive her car i feel the difference in her steering wheel. Over the weekend we drove from LA to San Diego, on our way home she drove my car... and one of the thing she notice was the steering wheel was loose but she thought it was normal for being a sedan .

Sounds like the dealer might need to reset AS n your car.

Isn't there a manual reset procedure you can do yourself, instead of taking it to the dealer?
