This was not tramlining as I have a lot of experience with it from running Bridgestone Potenza S03 Pole positions. With tramlining I have experienced, the steering wheel would almost jerk out of your hand and the car would move to the grove. Maybe tramlining feels different with AS. But in this situation the car held its line over this uneven, wavy pavement and the wheel did not jerk. It felt like there was slack in the wheel - like it could turn slightly without any corresponding movement of the car.

After driving home last night, my 540 did not feel this way over the same pavement.

Love the active steering... So much easier to get out of tight spaces, i mean in effort wise... its worth it... Still not entirely used to it yet, I always end up turning the steering wheel too much... But its a great feature of the E60, one of the ones I reali like actually...

Oh could it be DSC counter steeing for the uneven pavement? I know it can do that... try it with DSC off.
