Anybody have this option and care to give an opinion?

I did a forum search but nothing back so I assume they're not a popular option!

They weren't an option when I bought my '05 545i in January in the US. Are they similar to the ones in the E55, where the side bolsters inflate in turns to keep your body in place? I liked them a lot in my E55, and would have gotten them if available. I believe the M5 has them.

Iceman has them for sure.. He has aaaallll the options available hehehe..

I testdrove a car while in the decision periode. I didn't like it much. It felt to me like to fists were pounding my butt one for another

As far as I noticed it's not the same system as with mercedes where the sidebolsters inflate during turns.

These are two different things:
Active seats: that's like you say fists pounding the butt one after another thus relieving it from the stress of fixed position.
The second (active sidebolsters): recently introduced feature (since March) is an extra for the Comfort seats.

Yep, I've got them.
And Igor is right. Two different things, just as he explained.

I have back problems, my wife too, and when I drove from Frankfurt to Berlin without a stop I left the car without ANY trouble or pain.

BTW, after a couple of minutes you don't notice it anymore...

Active seats are great but as Iceman said after a few minutes you don't notice them.

That is true. I had them on both my 745s and they really work. I am not sure if were an option on the E60.
