On page 42 of the 5-series online user manual, it discusses Active Seat and Active Seat Ventillation. Are these standard features, or part of the sport seat or comfort seat packages?
Excerpt from manual:
Active seat*
The seat cushion is actively varied by alternately raising and lowering the right and left half of the seat cushion. This reduces muscular tension and fatigue to help prevent lower back pain.

OK, after reviewing the options available on BMW's UK website, it's obvious that the list of features is very different than those available here in the US.
Apparently, Active Seats and Active Seat Ventilation require the Nasca leather seats, which aren't a US option.

I consider the seats are the most important thing in a car. So i have my confort seats in nasca beige with both ventilation and active. I cannot tell that the active seats worth the money but ventilation is extraordinary!
