Active Cruise Control interferes with radar detector BEL STIR

I find K band in South Carolina and Georgia. As for the filter Bel suggested on the power, it is common and worth a shot. It is easy to get interference from power and ground lines. Most people hear it when they are putting in amps and speakers. I run a hardwired 9500ix next to my mirror (power from sunroof area, grounded in sunfroof area) and then Laser Interceptors (wired in passenger foot well outlet) no filters.

Here is another person's experience with RD positioning:
see post #7, relocating V1 lower on windshield (= my case with RD sitting on dashboard) gets rid of false K band alerts from ACC :

Could anybody else confirm that RD location is critical in case with vehicle equipped with ACC?
