My car does not have ACC. I would like to know if anyone was able to add it later? How much I should expect to pay?
For thoese who have it, is it worth it?

Unfortunately there won't be any examples of this in the field for a couple of months and maybe longer in this forum.

Its not bad but its not practical in most situations. I would not pay extra for it now.
Its a neat toy at first as it seems to be driving itself. But reality is it slows down as you approach a car, breaks when some gets in your lane setting off the break lights in the left lane which is not cool.
Its nice on two lane highways for the above reasons.
Im sure there are some that "just could not live with out it", but for me its a neat technology that just does not translate well.
Its very "lexus" like. By that I means there are conviences that add to the pleasure for those whom just don't particually like to drive. THe easier you make it, the quietier it is, the more isolated you are from the road, the less your "driving" the car.
People with money to spend on cars but who don't like to drive get the big "S Class" type cars for those reasons. They are great cars at doing such things. I love to be a passanger in a luxury car! Very comfortable for passanger and driver! Then there are expensive cars that are more driver oriented. FOr the same money there are the "M5" or "AMG55" which for similar money to a 750i or S class is driver oriented.
Its personal preference and there is not right answer. I think to retrofit would be very costly even if done, and quite frankly woud not represent good money spend.

for medial reasons i love it and wish it was the stop and go. not a total answer but really a leg saver for moving tight traffic.

The one thing I would change if I could would be to have the option to use it as standard cruise control without the distance setting if I wanted to (at least I haven't been able to figure out how to do this). Right now, the only thing I can do is use the shortest distance setting which is about 4 car lengths. To answer your question, it is worth it to me and I would get it again.

I like the feature because I do a fairly good amount of longer distance highway driving. It obviously doesn't work well in high traffic situations.

Stop & go means you can set the speed to 50 km/h and the car stops if the car in front is stopping then drives away if the car in front is driving away?

I agree, It has factory 4 default settings for the distance (Displayed by 4 lines)
I wished would have had manual / custom distance setting, thru I -Drive atlaeast

First let me say, it works, but after a stop it takes quite some time to speed up.
However, when you ask BMW Munich HQ if it is possible to retrofit or upgrade the existing ACC the tell you: no. Too many parts are needed, they need to take apart your car for the install. It would be one EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE retrofit/upgrade. And currently BMW can't even give you a quote.
