just had met with an accident yesterday. was not my fault rather a spotty teenager who rolled back her car onto my car whilst stationary in traffic. the road was slightly hilly.

you would not believe that when we got out to inspect the damage she actually accused me of hitting her car to which i replied are you mad i must of honked you at least 4 times. guys i tell you one thing these girls should be banned from driving. the funny thing was once she had a reality check she apologised and said that she did not realise that her car was rolling back.

any way on inspection there seems to be no damage to either car. i am now confused as to what to do. in such circumstances sould i just leave it or is there a worry that something might of been dislodged within the hood.

has anyone had similiar experiance.

I would have the dealer check for hidden damage. Sometime the bumper will pop back out and not look damaged, but the support behind it could be damaged.

Call your insurance company. And, if the car seems OK, then take it home and then to BMW or the body shop of your choice to have it checked out. Otherwise, flatbed it to the location on your choice. You could call BMW assist to help with the flatbedding if you don't have an auto club.

I think it should be ok... She was just rolling right? So very light bump? I say I think because I've seen in person during my M-Tech Bumper install and from pics how the interior bumper looks. Its a nice solid piece of foam and theres really nothing that can be dislodged... You would need to hit it hard enough to push through the foam and then push and bend the support frame.

If she was just rolling it is fine. The bumper can handle it! Let your dealer take a quick look under the car. Takes him ten minutes and he can tell you if there is damage, but I am pretty sure everything is fine.

The bumbers are designed for what their name stands for; small bumps.

I suppose the speed was a mile or two and that should not cause any damage what so ever.

The only harm could be some paint problem.

I did do some contact whith my early E60 whilst parking in the city (old new York style) but I could not see any damage done.
