Hey guys

Just thought id share my experience with the car today. Was driving on and empty stretched road, no cars around, thought id press the accelarator all the way, after all the car is at around 2500 km , and the breakin period is over, i noticed that you go all the way, if you press a little more on the gas pedal, you will feel and hear a Click, anyone know why it clicks like that? whats its purpose?

Sounds to me like you're feeling the kickdown switch.

I think its a switch that the accelerator hits that tells it your flooring the car nd to swith you down atleast a gear

Auto's always have this on most cars... It will force kick down the gear.

By clicking it, it will downshift gears, but will also hold the transmission in the lower gear for a couple of seconds more in case you want to jump on the accelerator again and not have to wait for the downshift....this is what my salesman told me when I bought the car. I use it all the time :D

And, in case anyone cares, SMG cars have the kickdown switch as well.

It helps tell the car what to do when using the automatic mode.
