Looks like there is a simple way to deactivate the active part of the ACC.
On a german language forum about E60 I've found the following text:
Which (with my little german) concludes that keeping the switch (or the lever?) of the ACC up or down, more than 3 seconds, will deactivate the active radar part of ACC and also the limit of 180 km/h. To activate it back, just a quick push of the same lever, up or down.
Can someone confirm this information?

It definately doesn't work on ACC.
I just tried it!
ACC can't be used as CC!
I was pretty sure about it, since I have never ever heard about that trick before, not on the forum, not in Munich.

Yes, your translation is correct. He claims it can be deactivated. If he is right, that is a bug.
The radar is implemented into the CC, therefore it allways works together.
