AC keeps going on after shutting it off..

First off. Hope bmw's new lineup looks better in person than in the pictures. Very disappointed..
Prob gonna cop that new CTS-V Coupe next year
Second... Driving to work this morning and I shut my AC off had the sunroof open and it goes back on. Shut it off again not a minute pops back on. again and again. wtf. Oh and does anyones elses AC smell like 90year old C U Next Tuesday..

My Ride: 2004 BMW 545i
i had the same problem when it was 100 degrees over here. it only occured when i had the temperature set to 60 degrees on both sides. i figure the car is trying to protect you in the heat, even if you don't want it on.

That is one of my biggest gripes with my new car...the way the A/C seems to have a mind of it's own. I absolutely HATE it automatically turing ON every time I crank the car...regardless of what state I left it in when I turned the car off. Why in the world didn't BMW simply set it up so that the A/C powers up in what ever state you last left it...

What setting on AC you have on the iDrive? If its on auto the vehicle tries to retain the suitable temp, so AC will kick on automatically.
