All,
My CPO warranty is expiring in 2-3 days so I went for an inspection at the dealership, they found of couple of things and replaces it under CP i.e.
1. AC Compressor and
2. Valve cover gasket
The service advisor told me that this could have been an $2400 expense if not under CPO.. Now my concern is:
1. What happens if there is something wrong next week with these parts and I won't have CPO warranty, do you know if BMW has warranty for work they did?
2. I opened the hood and I saw some oil , please see attached picture... is this normal? and what is this part?
Thanks a lot for your help

All work the dealer does has a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty, it's in the terms and conditions on the back of the invoice.
The picture looks like the power steering/dynamic drive/active steering reservoir. That might be oil splatter from the leaking valve cover. I don't know what engine you have so I could be wrong.

I'm not sure this is true. I just had my a/c compressor replaced under CPO warranty. There is nothing anywhere on the invoice (front or back) about any kind of warranty either on parts and/or labor. I also checked all my invoices for every service visit I have made over the past three years whether that service was for warranty work or for out of warranty normal maintenance (oil and filter changes, brake fluid changes, etc.) No mention on any of those invoices about warranty of work done or parts used. This was at Scottsdale BMW. Different BMW dealers may have different policies

Easy, just ask the dealer where you had it service. In the end, if you have to go back months down the road, it would be 1000 times better to say you (Service Mgr) told me I have a warranty instead of someone on this forum... Their work is warrantied, and I've also heard two years but it could be that it does't apply to all repair work, so better you ask them.
