For anybody that might encounter problems with the ABS and DSC lights on, with speedometer and mpg gauge not working. Try looking at a faulty speed sensor.

At first, my ABS and DSC lights came on. Speedometer and mpg gauge were still functioning. After a few more miles, the speedometer and mpg gauge quit working. Brought it in the dealership for the recall and service manager told me that I had a faulty front wheel speed sensor. Ordered the part online and installed it myself. Took the car for a spin and the computer just reset itself. No more warning lights, speedometer and mpg gauge were working.

I am posting this just in case anybody runs into the same problem.

Thanks bud. I was going to add usually you'll get DSC/DTC/ABS lights but never seen a cluster stop working. Very weird.

LOL. I now see that this guy is simply trying to sell stuff. Obviously he didn't read the OP already fixed it. Go sell your scan tools elsewhere.

That scan tool says it's for cars between 1994 and 2003. The E60 is 2004.

LOOOL. it's a knock-off of Peake Researches tool and probably doesn't even know that. Regardless everything he said above is WRONG

Sorry to bring a thread back from the dead but yesterday as I was driving home my abs drive control system message and now the mph does not work on the.l cluster or the HUD any help

Could be an indication the battery is about to go out.

That's what I had thought as well any other ideas what it could be I was just about to put the car up for sale and the same day this happens
