So my idrive is flashing this on and off recently. I did have my car sitting for a couple 5-6 day periods but I had someone start it a couple times during that stretch. I read on a previous post about this it may be the battery. The battery on my car has a stamp for shipment July 08'. The idrive message comes and goes, sometime even while I am driving.
The ABS + stability control are solid yellow on the dash + the brake light is on in red too. Also the flat tire monitor malfunctions too during these messages.
Does anyone have any advice on what I should do? I am thinking it is the battery...

Sluis530, you have been around long enough to know it could be almost anything! Battery, moisture on the ARS sensor(stability control) or any number of the other electronic components. I would say start with t he battery as its the easiest and probably the cheapest route... check your trunk, ebox, fuses and floors.

My 745Li had the same problem it turned out to be a bad dsc module, abs sensor and steering angle sensor. Mine failed after driving through snow/wet conditions, I've heard that driving in these conditions can sometimes cause intermittent issues after losing traction repeatedly.

Somehow my sarcasm didnt come out in the response! These cars are so sensitive... say the wrong thing and an error msg pops up! Its still cold here, so when that fricken snowflake icon shows itself I get scared the minute I hear the chime!!
Good luck man...let us know what it ends up being.
