Hello - I have just completed the seventh year of ownership of my 2004 545i. My car was one of the first available in Southern California. I have attached a couple of pictures - hopefully - showing the interior. Although I have an Anthracite interior, you can see I don't have the wood on the door handles or around the "cubby". BMW didn't have the pieces ready for the first shipment of autos. I also don't have the ability for a "smart" phone;/ipod hookup. In the beginning I had a BMW phone that worked great through the voice commands and idrive. Unfortunately with phone upgrades my system no longer worked. An ipod would be nice but I have the Logic 7 & Satellite radio that have both worked and sounded excellent. I only have about 80,000 mile on the car. I live close to work but the car gets a 700 mile, open freeway road trip about 10/12 times a year. The car has been all through the mountains of California, including a fair amount of snow. I dumped the run flats and have used Michelin Pilot Sport A/S since - great tires. I have cracked two rims hitting potholes Everything still works great and I have only had minor problems - windshield washer pump, headlight & battery replaced. I had electronic gremlins - error messages - when the car was new, mostly the first year. I have only good thing to say about the car - excellent power, handling, comfort & love the 6 speed. No reason to give it up now, think I will stick around another year. I know people are concerned with the reliability of these complex cars. Mine is standing up to the test of time.7 years and counting-bmw-7-years-004.jpg

That's great man!
It's nice to hear/read positive things also about our cars. Usually it's only problems that people are asking about .

I'm also enjoying my ride. I'm the second owner and I've had this 530d "only" 3 and ½ years for now, but I have no reason to change it.

edit: Nice pics also! The interior looks like new...

Good to hear everything is going well. I'm about to start my 3rd year with my car and I still LOVE it. No major issues other that the battery issue which was due to the comfort access.
