Jochen, so sorry to hear about your accident. Main thing is -is that you and your little girl are O.K.. It also doesn't hurt that the damage to your E60 so far seems to be minimal. I have had State Farm for years. I had an accident with a BMW I no longer own, and they were excellent from start to finish. Although like it was said before, procedures may vary from state to state, I cannot believe that you have to deal with the other insurance agency yourself. That is ridiculous. That is what they are there for. I would call your agent and really give him/her a piece of your mind about this issue. Anyway, best of luck in resolving this problem....and I have my fingers crossed for you that the damage is as minimal as it appears on the surface.

P.S.- any luck with that rebate issue you had yet?

Take Care!

Pretty close.
German is very difficult to learn...
What you just tried to say is a perfect example:

Wish I would be German...
Correct would be: Ich w?nschte ich w?re ein Deutscher...
We would say it like this: W?nscht' ich w?r' ein Deutscher...

Then you have those der, die, das, den, etc...

Around the moon... Um DEN Mond...
But: The moon is: DER Mond...

Or:
DAS auto, but DER BMW.

I wouldn't try learning German if I wouldn't speak it allready...

I hope that you get the right cost from the other party.
In my area(BC, Canada), most vehicles' insurence belongs to ICBC(one company) so we don't have to worry about that kind of situation..

I remember when I took German in Highschool trying to learn all the der die das die stuff. I got really confused on the second year. I somewhat remember them. And then there is past tense, Wow. Not giving up though.

I called State Farm twice and they say I have to fight it out with the other insurance myself. Surprised me, too. I will call my agent tomorrow and see what he says.

sorry to hear your story :'( but glad to hear both your daughter and you are ok . if your insurance agent not going to do anything, just tell them you'll change to another company which is willing to help . tell them you'll also switch all of your policies, such as homeowner, umbrella, property, etc., to another company as well. good luck !

The rebate came last Saturday in the mail. I didn't even have to complain to BMW NA, it just showed up.
