6-speed drive shaft issues
I posted on the parts section earlier with no replies yet. Sorry for being impatient....I have been without the car for two weeks now.
My '06 530i (N52) 6-speed decided to grenade the CV joint. Finding a used shaft is more difficult than finding the holy grail. My mechanic tried to replace the CV joint yesterday with no luck.
I know ECS Tuning sells one. So has anyone bought one and if so how does it get installed on the shaft? As for my drive shaft the guibo, center hangar bearing, and universal joint are fine.

Sorry if this is not helpful, I used driveshafts.com when I needed a new driveshaft for my E30 a number of years ago. They worked really well for me and they also had grease fittings on their replacement shaft (not that I ever used the fittings...). They are in Portland so shipped me a new driveshaft and I sent back the old. Came with the center support bearing as well.

Mechanic messed up the splines pressing in a CV joint. Well I found a driveshaft it is only 4,216 kilometers (2,619 miles) away. :-) Will post the outcome.

Drive shaft arrived early. Car is back on the road. Still have a slight vibration. Once the bank account recovers......alignment and wheel balance to see if it could be from that.
