Hi All,
I'm the proud owner of my 1st ever BMW which is a 535d on a 56 plate.
I've never known a car to put a smile on my face every time i drive it, what a machine.
So after owning the car since the beginning of December last year the Sat Nav keeps coming up with the following error
"Dvd Read Error. Please check DVD."
I've checked the disk which has no scratches
I bought the car from a car chain, so i ask the guy who sold me the car to have a look his response was
"The lense on the unit may have some condensation on it, due to temp change, there's nothing we can do about it"
So basically it's well you've bought the car not my problem anymore.
The car still has warranty, so is he feeding me a pack of lies or is this really true (i doubt it very much)
Advise greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Dan

Hi Desidan, lol.

There have been reports of DVD readers completely failing, so this might be your issue. If it was condensation, it would have fixed itself once the temps inside normalized... take it back, they should fix it under warranty. Who did you buy the car from?
