55W HID's in Fogs?

My Ride: 08 528i TiAg Premium/Cold Weather Pkg, 20% Tint, Technic Harness, JL Audio 12W7, JL HD 750/1 and LOTS of lighting mods!!!!!
As the title states. Does anyone have any first hand experience with this?
Is there any melting? I've seen a few people say they've put them in their fogs but haven't yet reported long-term use.
The reason i'm asking is that I've managed to order a set of Bi-xenon Euro HL's that are going to replace my halogen HLs and I'd like to move the 55W HIDs down to my fogs and use the 35W HIDs for my AE.
Any input is greatly appreciated.
