Best car I've ever owned - bar none
Perfect blend of Snort, Sport, Luxury and Comfort
If the price difftl isn't too large for you, strongly consider an LCI 08 model year.
The sport tuned exhaust, M Aero Package and Sport Auto Transmission alone make it worthwhile (and no run flat tires either).

Its perfect time to buy a 550 - low gas price, high end cars not moving (good deals), several promotions.. etc

The 550i is the benchmark to which all other sports sedans are judged. Beautiful flowing lines produce a stunningly pleasing exterior, a silky smooth drive train, and acceleration that will pull your top plate loose. Arguably the finest seats ever placed in an automobile not built in Stuggart, and an interior that looks and feels like the inside of a coach wallet. Get the sports package, consider the cold weather package, and if equipped with run flats, donate them to a worthy charity. Good luck, and let us know how it turns out.
On point, when you [the OP] drive that 550i, you're gonna tell yourself that you were crazy to have "settled" for a 525i! This is my first ever BMW, and I don't think I could be happy with any other 5-series; the 535i just didn't quite cut it for me and the M5's price is just to high for me along with its Mack truck fuel economy.

I am thinking of trading in my 04 525 for a 07 550i. I have never driven a 550i, but know that it packs a mean punch. Any advice, input regarding the car?
thank you
