Red face

Well here in Dublin (Ireland) we pay over 1 euro per litre for petrol and diesel , so generally you dont see E60/E61 with such a big plant , also because of 40%+ car tax in various forms the 530D tends to be the most popular , M5 and 550 are just too expensive for people , but this morning i saw a 550i Tourer , M Sport , Dark Grey , Tinted glass all round .... and a bit dirty to be honest. Very nice look machine all the same.

Sorry guys no pics ....... he was going to fast

Unfortunately not.

But maybe some day the "BPM" (which is the extra tax charged for cars in NL) will be disposed of, so we'll see more nice BMW's around. It reminds me of my German friends, when they just came to Holland they wondered why all Dutchies where driving such "cheap" cars, and not that much BMW's, Mercedes' and Audi's like in Germany.

When I'm in Rotterdam however, one can always spot BMW M5's around, haven't seen that much M5's anywhere.

I've lived in Dublin for a year a couple of years back, E-Classes and 5-series was pretty common, often with 2 litre engine and Avantgarde/M-Pack due to the high taxes. What chocked me was how insanely dirty the cars were. Brand new silver cars looked matte black with matte black alloy wheels, and silver roof. Don't tell me it's the weather, we have the same in southern Sweden...

Thats the thing all the 5ers here are 530 or less lots of 520 and 523. Re the clean thing it doesnt help that Dublin roads are bad with lots of construction going on (www.m50.ie) M50 the main motorway is gettng 2 more lanes down the middle , wont be finished till 2008 , likely need to be done agin by then. Dealer where i ordered my 530 told me last year they sold 2000 units 1050 new (thats across the range of BMW) , so substantial enough for a population of 4million (2million live in or within 50km of Dublin ) , i'd say if i ask him how many M5 he sold probably one or two a year and never a 550. yet the brochure he gives you is full of nothing but pics of the 550 , kinda a like teasing ........ na you cant have that
