The Jag is getting good reviews in terms of driving dynamics. I think we all should go to a local dealer and check it out - just to know what the competition is up to. If reliability etc. is also improved, that means - BMW needs to step up its game in the F10.

What's so bad about the 550i getting the 3rd place or 2nd place (Edmunds)? Do you think BMW would put out that twin turbo and make the 335i/535i so much better if not for the Infiniti G35/M45?

Competition benefits all of us.

Totally. And the interior looks like a 1980 Chrysler Cordoba.

Dig that rich Corinthian leather!
That interior has Lincoln written all over it.

They have been doing the silver and wood interior for years. It is already dated.

I don't really care how well it handles, it still looks like a Buick.

Most of the complaints of the 550i are rough ride, interior, I-drive and to some degree, price. Most reviewers agree that it's still the sportiest of the bunch.

I think the 550i does very well for a car that has been around since 2004 (545i). I'll wait until the new 5 series (F10) comes out before making a decision on my next car.

I didn't see it at first, but it does. LOL!

I was so disappointed when I saw the XF at the LA Auto Show. A huge let down.

They should have never made those beautiful pre-production cars.

I couldn't see it either till I put them side by side in the same color, then I said " Holy Schnikeys!"

Here's my question...How does the 550 win the skid pad test and lose the slalom?

They're measuring completely different things. The slalom primarily measures transition and ability to change direction whereas the skidpad measures lateral acceleration/grip. Of the two, the slalom is more meaningful as it involves and tests more of the vehicle's suspension and handling.
