Is the 550 overrated horsepower?

I believe increasing the displacement to 4.8L was done with the primary intention of increasing the low and mid range power curves for better daily drivability. But yes, there is only a 20-25HP increase with the 550i. Based on consensus, and a multitude of dyno tests and acceleration tests, it seems like an accurate estimation that the 545i has approximately 335-340HP.

However, I have heard that the 550I's with the M tuned exhaust (with the black chrome tips) actually have 367HP. Is there any legitimate source regarding the increase in horsepower that anyone has available?
