My Ride: On Order for European Delivery
550i SilverGrey Sports, Winter, Prem Pkg, Prem sound, NAV, HUD, comfort seats

I have my 550 (w/ Automatic transmission) now for about 2 weeks.
What I find is that as I'm driving down a local route at about 30-35mph adding a little pressure to the peddle makes the car shift up and then with a slightly decreasing pressure, the car shifts down. The shifts are a little more jerky than I would have expected. I would have expected very smooth shifting.
Anyone else notice this. Not sure what software I have but I assume it relatively up to date given November European delivery.
Any helpful suggestions?
Thanks

Yes, in D mode around 30 mph sometimes the gears can't seem to find a happy place. But the shifts are smooth, not jerky, and I have to pay close attention to even notice it. Otherwise, I tend to drive around more in DS mode, which seems to hold a gear through a wider range of RPMs. Better still, row it yourself in M mode.

Gee thank!
There are places where you have to drive sanely.
I have been trying ds and m mode more.
I still am surprised that the hifts in auto arent all that smooth

Even with frequent gear changes, the shifts should be smooth. You may want to have this checked out.
Also, the tranny does "learn" your driving habits. I don't know the cycle time of learning, but your ever-shifting tranny may settle down a bit as it learns more.
