Is it better for a car performance to keep DTC ON or OFF before accelerating??

Both DSC and DTC off. You should try to control your wheel spin manually. If you simply cannot do so, then at least turn off DSC. My answer is the same--stick or auto.

as much as we like to think its not the case...computer reaction and 'compensation' is better than we can expect to react unless we are professional drivers. I would say slippery weather (like rain or snow) make is easier to show our rough skils, but in all dry pavement and good tires the computer is going to beat us EVERY time.
Sure you miss out on the satisfying wheel chirp (and if you try you are rewarded with a dead pedal) but we have to face facts...these options are there because drivers just cant do what they can - think of them like ABS.

Damp or poor quality road=dtc on
I don't agree with u Matt. Sorry but neither dtc nor dsc is sort of Launch Control. In that case i would have agreed that no driver can match it in starts, but dsc or dtc are simply there to brake the wheels and steel the power from you. THOSE are security programs not launch programs.
