The lease is up on my 2004 545 w/ sport pkg. soon. Toying with the idea of a 750 with sport pkg. What are your thoughts?

That is one of the good "tough" questions. I think the answer depends - 5 if your into sporty driving - 7 for luxury - I know - both are sporty because they are BMW's, but the 7 is more luxurious - I also looked at a 7 and it felt too big to me (but I liked the 3 series a lot - but my wife did not)

550i; it's faster. 750 is too big for me.

I think the 750 is for older people. No offence to you guys! The 5-serie is for us who prefer driving.

The 7 is also for drivers! though guys, I would say if you have a family with 2 or more kids go for the 7, they'll love you for the extra space in the back esp. ur wife if she has to seat in between the car seats in the back. and if you young & restless get that TEN2SIX, lol and please don't steal my license plate guys, lol.

Both cars are fine choices. Honestly, I think the 750 gives you the better bang for the buck.

For me, it comes down to transmission choices. If the 750i offered a 6spd, well then I'd ditch the 5er in a blink.

Also, if you care about modding your car, the 5er is much more tunable than the 7er. Just something to consider.

Good luck with your choice.
