How much quicker from 0 to 60mph or 0 to 100mph is an SMG 545i or 6 spd manual 545i than a steptronic 545i?

Interesting question, but as JDN points out, the difference is not really significant. Pick your transmission based on what you're comfortable driving, not on the very small acceleration difference.

You shouldn't have any trouble regardless of the tranny. You could probably take him with a 530i. Throw in a corner or two and he's done!

Well anyway,my car is worth more than his and my ladyfriend is prettier but dusting him also wouldn't hurt either!
