One month before my warranty runs out, i am getting a new engine.
This was an ongoing problem for 2 years, RPM fluctuating and engine noise on cold start-up.

Thanks man i am sure it will, but it was really close.
My service advisor really pushed for it, They only wanted to do the short block.

Good for you. That was real close. The cost of a new remanufactured engine is at least $17k (US).

I got a new remanufactured engine installed under CPO warranty last May and it's been flawless. You also get a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty.

I finely got my car back, the new engine is installed and an oil leak from the deep stick was fixed as well.
Yesterday after i picked the car the reverse gear failed to engage once no thud no noise its just that the car did not move, I tried the reverse after that several times an it worked without any faults. So maybe that was a one time thing.
They changed so many parts beside the engine that i could not even remember, I have 2 weeks left of warranty then I am on my own.

I'll bet the recent parts and labor carry their own warranty. Also, everything should be documented on the work order.

Perfect time to sell that thing - it will never again be worth as much as it is now with a new motor.

Did the replacement engine solve the idling problem.

Which parts were changed?
