So I am looking to change my differential oil and I was wondering what options I have as far as the oil goes. I know there is the OEM XJ oil and i've heard of the Red Line 75w 90 brand as well. But are there any others that I can use without any problems, such as the Royal Purple and the Mobil brand? Let me know what oils you guys (and ladies) have used in the past. Thank you.

Has anyone changed their differential oil lately? At this rate I might have to go with the dealer XJ oil at $42/quart. I would really like to see if I have options at a fraction of the price. Thanks.

I changed my differential oil about two years ago at approximately 41,000 miles and I used Red Line Oil.

Thanks, i've seen the DIY, but I haven't seen any information of what specific brands of oil people have used or should use. Most people seem to use the Red Line 75w 90 oil, but what else?
