3 weeks ago while traveling to St Louis on I-70, I confirmed the top speed of my 545. It was about 10 pm no traffic coming or going in either direction. I gradually laid on to the accelerator, then 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150, At this point I get a llittle nervous but the dash say 160 so I kept going. Got to 155 and that was it. Thats where the speed limiter is. Wouldn't go any faster. Car felt very stable. 155 felt like 90. No sway or vibration at all. This was a very drama free experience. Afterwards I lifted off the gas and coasted back down to 80. There was still no traffic in either directons. It didn't feel fast because there was nothing out there, the car didn't feel like it was traveling that fast, and it was dark, so I couldn't see things on the side of me passing in a blur. This is my first and last time doing this and any further attemps like this will be done on a track.

Me thinks Pantom5 is a candidate for ED You really have to drive these cars on the autobahn to fully appreciate the handling.

A friend of mine once said "You don't know how good or bad your car handles until you have had to brake hard from 140 to 80 MPH."

i know the feeling.... 120 your heart starts to beat faster ....130 your palms get sweaty ....140 your nerves tell you to slow down ....155 god dam it ... you wana go faster but the dam car wont go.... at this point at 155 your nerves your heart your palms you forget about it ... its all confidence at this point..... ... but always be safe...... one thing iv notice is the rpm at 155 is at only 5,000 rpm's she has more to give....

I would guess that you would be arrested and be subjected to a "full body cavity search" just for pissing off the cops!

oohh boy can you imagine dealing with a cop who pulled you over doing 155 mph in the mid west? He would probably call you a Nazi just because you drive a German car lol !

Tell me you have a radar detector when you did this?? There is no way in hell I would approach that speed without my V1. Plus, I would feel sorry for the cops that would have to do a full body cavity search on me...especially on my rear cavity. LOL!
