A few days ago I asked a friend of mine to show me the routes he uses to stretch the legs of his cars. He invited me to join him and some other mates for a run on Sunday morning. We met bright and early at 7am. The line up included a Gallardo SE, Porche 997 TT, Porche 996 Turbo, Ferrari F430, Masseratti, Renault Clio (corrected thks to BetterMakeWay) and my BMW E60 540i ...... I was in the company of giants
We travelled over 220kms. The route included many straights where cars could hit in excess of 230km/h...if they wanted to
, many turns on level plain, up hills and down hills. It was fantastic
I was extremely happy with the performance of my car. Although I wouldn't even consider comparing how I did with the super cars, I thought I did quite well staying with the Masseratti. It wasn't until I felt uncomfortable pushing the car any further, due to my insufficient driving experience, did the pack pull away.
Overall, I thought my baby did very well. Here are some pics...
