no you are not confused. The tech told the sa the pb was working correctly and I didn't have the time or patience to argue that day. I was expecting a loaner but they made me wait wile they troubleshot so that threw my sched out of waxk in the first place. My assumption is that the tech yanked the parking brake through the roof and called it good. Call me crazy but I don't want to tear a bicep every time I set it!

Hmmmm...when this happens, you need to babysit the technician when you drop off the car. Bring it in and tell the service adviser to get the tech and show him it doesn't work. I've even made videos and put them on CD for noises that were intermittent.
