My Ride: 535xi
535xi n54 Motor Replacement
Hi, apologies if this has already been asked, didn't see any search results. So my 535xi spun a bearing and I need a new motor.
Thanks in advance for the inputs
- Are all n54 compatible or do I need a motor from an XI
- Does it need to be a 535xi or can it be from a 335xi?
- Is there much value in an non-running car as in would i get much for it on craiglist?

The 335i has different turbos since the inlets are located differently. If you get one from a non-xi you will need to transfer over your oil pan. I doubt there would be other differences.
